What is a convenience fee?

A convenience fee is usually charged for credit card or PayPal payments. You can apply this fee to an invoice with the BILL web app.

Convenience fee values can be a flat fee or percentage.

• Flat fee: The amount value is a dollar amount applied to the invoice amount.
• Percentage: The amount value is a percentage applied to the invoice amount.

Warning: Charging convenience fees is prohibited in some US states. You must conform to state laws about charging convenience fees.
