BILL network

In this section, we walk through a BILL network workflow for connecting with a vendor in the BILL network. When the workflow is complete, your BILL organization becomes a customer for the connected vendor and you can pay the connected vendor.

What is the BILL network?

The BILL network is a collection of vendor organizations and customer organizations using BILL. Network connections between vendors and customers enable payments between them.

Verified national vendors (Large billers) include water, power, cable, and phone companies and are part of the BILL verified national vendor network. The BILL network includes the verified national vendor network.

Operations and workflows

When you create a customer or vendor with the BILL web app, BILL automatically searches to confirm whether the created customer or vendor is in the BILL network. Search results show any records that are a complete or partial match with the name or address.

With the BILL API, you can search for and connect with a customer or vendor in the BILL network. When the connection request is accepted, BILL enables payments between the connections.
