When you create a Vendor or Customer via the User Interface, the Bill.com system does an automatic search to see if these objects exist in the Bill.com network. The records that exactly match the name and the records that are a near match based on the name, address, and other customer or vendor details are displayed. You can directly send invitations to connect with them. If the search result is empty, you need to invite your vendor or customer to join the Bill.com Network.
Let's take a look at the entities involved in the Bill.com Network workflow:
|Network Search||Search for Customers and Vendors that are already in the Bill.com Network.|
|Send Invite||Sends an invitation to connect your Organization to another Organization (Customer or Vendor) discovered on the Bill.com network.|
|Large Biller Search||Searches the Large Biller network by name, account number, and zip code. Large Billers are Organizations with a wide national or regional presence.|
|Get Large Biller Payment Address||Larger Billers have multiple payment addresses because they have located in many places. This retrieves the payment addresses of Large Billers.|
|Connect Large Biller as Vendor||Connect with a Customer or Vendor in the Larger Biller Network.|
|Send Vendor Invite||Sends an invitation to an Organization (Vendor) that is outside of Bill.com to set up ePayments.|
|Get Network Status||Checks the status of an invite sent to an existing Vendor or Customer via Send Invite, Connect Larger Biller as Vendor, or Send Vendor Invite. The response provides the status of the invitation.|
You can only send one invitation to connect with another Organization in Bill.com's network. If you want to send your invite again and if your current invitation is not accepted, you need to cancel the invite and resend it again.
